God is doing exciting things here at king of Kings Lutheran Church. Follow

It has been a while since I updated this page but lots has happened that I've
not put in -- so there is a gap in coverage -- sorry!

Today is the beginning of our Lenten Journey. Join us if
possible on a Wed at either noon or 7 PM for worship. A soup supper is
served at 6 PM -- all are invited. |

AT&T Construction |
Work began today on the construction of the AT&T Cell Tower
site. |

Back to Normal |
All of our families are home and now the relief effort
begins. Please also keep the firefighter in your prayers as they complete
the task of putting out the fires |

Only one family and their friends are left at King's Kampus.
The use of the building revealed a plumbing problem that has probably gone
on for a long time. Hopefully it can get fixed tomorrow and King's Kampus
can stand ready to help other people. |

Things Stabilize |
Ron, Jan & Jon went home to find their house still standing.
Given the path of the fire, it is nothing short of a miracle. Curt, Katie,
Drew & Craig went home to a smoky home covered in ash but no damage. Praise
God! |

Evacuations Continue |
Another family joins the evacuation group. Still no word on
the fate of their homes. We find out that Pat, Erin and Elias were also
evacuated but staying with Church members. |

Evacuations Fires Began

Communion Sunday |
Two families are evacuated -- Ron, Jan & Jon -- Curt, Katie,
Drew & Craig. All are safe and wait out the night. Sunday afternoon fires
began to burn amidst hot Santa Ana winds.
We worshipped in McGee park with 4 other Churches as a sign
of our public ministry together. |

Come cheer on Pastor James as he competes in his first
Chili-Cook-Off as the Pastor of King of Kings. The "tips" placed in the
Pastor's jar go to support this vital ministry to our college students. |
