Wed. Lenten Worship Dramas 2007

Each week the evening worship featured an original one person dramatic presentation written by Elaine Aadland. A person from the Bible who has encountered Jesus reflected upon the effects of Jesus' love in their life.

The Samaritan Woman at the well went from feeling rejected to loved by Jesus. She became one of the first female evangelists telling her neighbors about Jesus' love for her and for them.

Nicodemus who came to see Jesus by night was filled with questions. Jesus challenged him to be "born from above" and live for God. The decision he faced was difficult and made him ponder God's will for his life.

The Man Born Blind whose sight was restored by Jesus challenged the Pharisees and asked us if we could truly see. Or if our own pride and needs had blinded us

Mary & her sister Martha saw Jesus' power and might as their brother Lazarus came out of the tomb. Her questions about why Jesus had to die seem to go unanswered.

On Easter, all of the world will found out that Jesus' death was part of God's plan.

John agonized over how he and the other disciples will continue on after Jesus' death. His heartfelt grief at the death of his master and friend brought tears to the eyes. He asked God to reveal how Jesus' death could be part of the plan.

We were blessed to have this dramatic presentation during Lent at King of Kings Lutheran Church!
